Sicoob — Pix & Boleto (Brazil)

Brazil's largest financial cooperative. Collect Pix and registered boleto straight into a Sicoob current account, through the bank's own Developers APIs.

The Problem

Why does this extension exist?

Sicoob is Brazil's largest financial cooperative — member-owned, and present in interior towns the big retail banks never opened branches in. Its Developers portal publishes Pix Recebimentos and Cobrança Bancária, the two ways Brazilians actually pay. Without this extension an operator that already banks with Sicoob has to push charging revenue through an outside processor and wait for it to be handed on, instead of being paid into the account it already reconciles.

The Solution

What you get

  • Pix instant payments — a QR code the driver scans in any Brazilian banking app, confirmed in seconds
  • Registered boleto through Cobrança Bancária v3 — payable at any bank in Brazil, the natural fit for fleets that settle monthly
  • Hybrid boleto — Sicoob prints a Pix QR code on the slip, so one charge can be paid either way
  • ICP-Brasil certificate authentication — the mutual TLS handshake Sicoob requires in production, issued to the member's CNPJ or CPF
  • OAuth2 client_credentials against Sicoob's Keycloak, with tokens cached and renewed before they expire
  • Sandbox from day one — Sicoob's published test credentials need no certificate, so the flow can be proven before onboarding finishes
  • Revenue lands in the cooperative's own account — no outside processor holding it on the way
🎯 Who is this for?

CPOs and eMSPs in Brazil that already bank with a Sicoob cooperative and want charging revenue paid straight into that account. Sicoob is a bank rather than a card acquirer, so pair it with a card gateway if you also need pre-authorisation holds.

Key Capabilities

Everything included

Pix Recebimentos

Create an immediate Pix charge and hand the driver a QR code. They pay from any Brazilian banking app, and the session starts as soon as the money is confirmed.

Registered Boleto

Issue a boleto through Cobrança Bancária v3, payable at any bank, banking app or lottery agent in Brazil — how Brazilian companies expect to settle a monthly invoice.

OAuth2 Authentication

client_credentials against Sicoob's Keycloak, with your application's client_id sent alongside the token on every call. Renewal is handled for you.

ICP-Brasil mTLS

Upload the PEM certificate and key issued to your cooperative's CNPJ or CPF. The extension performs the mutual TLS handshake Sicoob requires in production.

Hybrid Boleto

Ask Sicoob to print a Pix QR code on the boleto. One charge, two ways to pay — the driver or the fleet's finance team picks whichever suits them.

Sandbox Testing

Sicoob publishes fixed sandbox credentials that need neither a certificate nor cooperative onboarding, so the whole flow can be exercised the day the extension is installed.

Use Cases

See it in action

How operators banking with a Sicoob cooperative collect for charging without an intermediary.

Driver pays by Pix at a cooperative's charger
A driver stops at a charger run by an agricultural cooperative in Goiás, scans the Pix QR code in their banking app and confirms R$45. The payment clears in seconds and the money lands in the cooperative's own Sicoob account.
Fleet settles a month of charging with one boleto
A regional logistics fleet charges fourteen vans through the month. At closing the operator issues a single registered boleto for the total, and the fleet's finance team pays it like any other supplier invoice, at whichever bank they use.
Operator proves the integration in sandbox, then onboards
A new operator wires up Pix and boleto against Sicoob's sandbox while the cooperative membership paperwork is still moving. When the ICP-Brasil certificate arrives they upload it, switch to production and go live without touching the code.
Simulated Case Study

Interior operator collects 92% of charging revenue into its own cooperative account

A cooperative-owned charging network in the Brazilian interior moved collection from an outside processor to its own Sicoob account. Pix covers the drivers who pay at the charger, boleto covers the agricultural fleets that settle monthly, and the money now arrives in the account the cooperative already reconciles.
